Truro Cathedral
An ongoing series of studies created from sustained drawings in Truro Cathedral, and finished in the studio.
Exploring architecture and depth, creating moments of interaction between myself and the general public.

A1 Charcoal study of the previous week’s drawing, from memory. Focusing on movement and mark making.
Spending 5 and a half hours in the cathedral, this drawing is just shy of A1. It was made as a measured drawing, using specific objects in the cathedral as anchor points. I also established my line of sight, which acts as my horizon line. This results in a 1 point perspective drawing.
Using architectural drafting film, I created a most contrasting image of the space whilst preserving original drawing, done on site.
